done with one and movin' to another

A new picture! Ya I couldn't get my ring on.

Ok, I finally have a minute to post something.

Well in the last month Josh and I finished the books we were reading (Foe Men Only and FOr Women Only). The night we finished we talked briefly about what part of the books impacted us the most. We both agreed that the chapters that talked about the different ways our brains process information were the most beneficial. I now feel that when we get into an argument, instead of just going at it we try to make it clear weather we really disagree or just don't understand due to the way our brain is processing. We now try to make things clear and to the point instead of assuming that the other one know what we are thinking. WE ARE NOT MIND READERS!!!!!

We have passed the books on to Josh's sister and her husband who are coming up on there first year of marriage and are starting to see themselves come out their "brand new marriage" stage. So I sat down and talked with Josh's sister and she thought that the books would help them, so that where they are now.

We started reading The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey last night. We got to page 30 and are just starting to get into the chapters on how to get out of debt. I like reading the stories they really do give me a feeling that "humm this sounds like it could really work!". For Josh the book so far is giving him hope that getting out of the money problems we have does not have to be so far down the road and that it can be done.

I go back to work next week so I will have more time to post new thing this has been a very busy month for all of us!

What are you thinking

OOOH man!!

So i was talking to some women to day about marriage, and one girl that is engaged was saying that her and her boyfriend are trying to have a baby!!!!
When I heard this I not so politely asked her WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!
Her response was "My aunt and her husband have NEVER been married. They have had two children together, five total. They live with each other and don't plan on getting married. But their family is very secure and stable. Her kids (my cousins) are now 18 and 19. They are doing well. So as far as us deciding that we shouldn't rush into a marriage, that s a personal decision. But thank you for your words of wisdom."
OH she is also only 20 and her boyfriend is 21! There is another reason to be married before she has kids.

Then she told me i was wrong and tyred to be an adult by saying "i'm just gunna say "ok" prindle. Right now I cant give you a full response as to why I don't agree or to confirm or justify your concerns because I am at work. But I will. but for now, thanks. "

Oh my Gosh, what are people thinking these days!!

Books

So Josh and I started reading the books we got for our wedding (For men only, and For Women Only) and i really love them.

Karen told me that I had to read For Men Only first, so i did. While I was reading it I felt that it really hit on a lot of the problems that me and Josh are having. It did a very good job of explaining the way I view the world compared to the way Josh/men view the world. It touched on things like financial security Vs. relationship security, which is something Josh has trouble separating. I also liked how it put it flat out there to men that men and women are programed different therefor process information very differently.

After I finished his book it was time for us to read our own book together. This was a little bit harder to accomplish. I basically had to bribe Josh with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Imagine that giving him food to get what I want. I should write a book "If You Give a Man a Sandwich..." we all know how the rest goes... "then he'll want a glass of milk."

Back to the thought at hand. He read the first chapter with me that night and didn't say ANYTHING Ahhh that frustrates me but, just like i had read in the For Men Only book men like to think and process their information and women like to talk about it. So i didn't say anything i just went to sleep and let him think about it.

The next night we again read a chapter each.
I am really starting to enjoy this nightly practice and I think he is too because, last night I didn't even have to bring it up. I was sitting on the bed folding clothes and before I knew I looked over at him and he was reading his book!

So my lesson learned: Even if I have to bribe him the first time I should fell confident enough in him to know that he does want to work on our relationship just as bad as I do.

One question though, when do we get to talk about???! Do I have to wait for week after we read the books to actually ask him what he liked about it and what he feels was good/bad advise???

Oh well I guess I will just be patient.

Spell check

She is laying her head on the key board. She was so tuckered out ofter playing in the snow.

HELP

While I was typing the last blog Minnie decided that i needed help (probably with spell check ;) )

She chased the mouse around with her nose and was very intent on catching it with her tongue.

SNOW

So yesterday we got the first snow of the year!!!!

This was also the first time that the dogs have experienced snow. So when I got of work at 5, I was very excited to get them out side and see how they would react to 1 1/1 inches of snow covering their yard?

Well here goes...

THEY LOVE IT!!

They ran around the yard from the second i let them out. I think that they played harder in the snow than without the snow.

They were running around the yard so fast that I was surprised that I actually got a picture in of that.

The New Family

We Finally Made It!!!!!

I had to steal these picks because even as the bride in this shin-dig i have NO pictures of my own, so i am relying on other people for photos.

wedding

well,

I'm sitting at work waiting for 50 some pages of reports to print off on the worlds slowest printer, so i thought id write some more.

our wedding on the 10th was great it really couldn't have been any better. The groom (being Josh) and the bride(being me, Sara) were both there so that's a good start. The majority of our friends and family were there and so was the bishop so really that's all we needed.

After the wedding we went back to my parents house and had food and cake and YES Josh smashed the cake right in my face!!!! I'll get him later for that. But all-in-all i went great also.

Then of to White Sulfur Springs we went for our honeymoon!!!!;)) we had a blast with the dogs ever though it was windy and cold we enjoyed every minuet of it. And we even made some friends down at the Stockman Bar.

next week ill post some photos of everything so you all can see what I'm talkin about.

P.S. my printer is still printing those reports!!!!!
