sewing + my finger = Bleeding finger

OK so on Friday night as I was working on sewing a blanket and I sewed THROUGH my finger! OUCH! you can kinda see where the needle went in one side and out the other. So as I was pulling the needle out of my finger and the string that was sewed in there, Josh's mom jumped up to help me and turned the wheel on the sewing machine sending the needle back down into my other finger. The reason the needle went down was because the needle stopped in the full up position. I don't remember what I was doing to get my finger so close to the needle or why the machine started running so don't ask.

My latest purses

My very little garden

So I think these are supposed to my cucumbers.
And if those are cucumbers then these are tomatoes. I have peppers planted too but they haven't surfaced yet.

They didn't die!

I planted some flowers and look they are actually growing!

Skating on Sunday

My mom and dad took the kids, Josh and I skating on Sunday night just for some fun and dad managed to through on some skates and make it around the rink a few times.
Braeden found a friend to skate with. They were soooo stinking cute out there helping each other around the rink.

I know these are bad pics but you get the jist.

RED

Look at my cool red salad spinner!

YUCKIE YARD WORK

This is what the yard currently looks like. We hauled in 20 yrds of dirt. I didn't last very long though, we still need more.
Josh LOVES this machine thingy. After about three min. on it he turned to ma and said "I want wanna these!"

Our little helper for the day Rhys.

Rhys digging for rocks.

He helped me take down the old fence and roll it out of the way.

Just the beggining of the mess.

first hot day!

I took the dogs for a walk one day and Roxy didn't even make it back to the house before she laid down in the grass. When they got in the house they sprawled out on the tile to cool off. Tuff thought he would join them. Look how chubby he is!

My sewing machine

On our very long trip to and from Chicago I picked this up on the way through South Dakota. its in realy, ok, shape and I have always wanted one so i got this on efor 40 bucks!

RED!!

I finally got a red table!! Ya I painted my table red and I LOVE it. I now have three black chairs to go with it.

And they said it couldn't be done. AKA I LOVE the reusable shopping bags!!!

Okay so no one said that but would you believe that the lady at Wal-mart fit about $100.00 in groceries into four of my reusable bags. This was my first big trip to the store with them and I came home with NO plastic bags. The two bags in the middle I got from work but the two on the outside i got from Albertsons they are $1.00, they snap back together and they are in the freezer aisle and very hard to find. I hate the little ones so when I saw these I grabbed them!

Officer Braeden

Officer Braeden
We went camping this weekend and aver all it was a good weekend but very exhausting. On Sunday we drove to a spot to go four wheeling at and about three miles in it started to down pour so we turned around and went home.

EGGS

The other day we got fresh farm eggs from a friend and Josh loved the m so much that we decided to never (if we can) use the store egggs again. When I get a minute i will post a picture of a store egg versues a farm egg to show you what I mean. Anyway in a farm egg the yolk is a dark orange and it is very very thick and creamy. So thats why Josh likes them and i liek them very much too. This is a pic of our latests batch of eggs.

Crisis avoided

OOPS!! I left the water on too long!
I was washing the dogs leash because it was very dirty. So i turned on he water then walked away to get some other stuff together and as i was walkign back through the kitchen i realized the water was still on. As you can see the water is right to the very top of the sink!

check out this bill

http://www.billingsgazette.net/articles/2009/01/23/news/state/18-pitbull.txt

my comment

First thank you too all the people who showed up to support the dogs. And to all the people who left comments showing how ridiculous this bill is and other peoples comments are. I am an owner of two pit bulls and they are the calmest laziest dogs I have ever met. Both my dogs are fixed, have their shots, are registered and have tracking tags in their necks. So to those of you who say the only people who have pit bulls are low lifes who can't afford them, I offer you a chance to rethink your comments! I have had my vet say that she has been bit by more labs than pit bulls. Pit bulls have been bread to come with clean personality slate and they really do take on the personality of their owners. The problem is that some people resort to violence when their dog won't behave instead of teaching their dog the right way to act. My dogs defiantly know better when it comes to aggression at any sign of aggression out of them even the slightest growl or stance they automatically get the "naughty" signal and that's the end of that they mind very well because we have trained them to. I have also been bitten by a dog, it was a Pomeranian and the owner told the dog to bite my and yes it bled and left a scar but i don't hate that dog for it it was the owners choice to do that. Saying that all Pits are bad is like say that guns kill people or that the reason the kids in this country are Poorly mannered is because of video games. Its not a parenting problem, no no, its a gun/video game problem. This situation is not the dogs problem its the owners and i totally agree that it should be a case by case thing. If you ban all the pit bulls people will find another breed to pick on. I love my dogs and they love the people who stood up for them thank you again.

This was my birtchday gift from josh. What a great hubby!

CAT+WATER = ??????

Yes, so one day I put this chair in front of the refrigerator to get something down and when I came back I caught Tuff in the act of getting ice and water out of the fridge. I don't know why but my cat is obsessed with water.

Anyway I thought, "No big deal just move the chair." Well I was wrong a few nights later I could here him knocking something around and finally I got up just to make sure it wasn't something breakable and as I was walking into the kitchen I noticed about 5 ice cubes sitting on the floor. That's right Tuff took his "getting letters off the fridge" talent and used it to get ice out of the door. Side note he loves ice too!

and here are some more pics of Tuff and his obsession with water.

The Opportunity of a Night Time

So last night after work I decided to go home and clean up the house I haven’t been able to do that since late October and it desperately needed it. So I started with sweeping and mopping (that’s mopping x1), and I cleaned out a few cupboards as well as cleaning the bathroom and a few other nooks and crannies. Around 7:30 Josh called to say he would be eating with the guys down at the shop so I would be on my own for dinner. I finished the task at hand, cleaning out the “junk” drawer (picture featured above) and then decided it was time to eat. I opened up the fridge and OOOOOHHH CRAP!!! …CRASH, CRASH…
There went a huge bowl of split pea soup and shredded beef!
OMG, to quote Taylor "IT went EVERYWHERE"!
It was on the ceiling, it was on the living room floor in ALL of the side compartments of the fridge and is some awfully weird places. Gross green slimy… soup.

So now why I call it an OPPORTUNITY.

When we first moved in I put something in the bottom drawer of the fridge and it leaked and I haven’t been able to get the stinking drawer out to clean it. Well, last night I had no choice I HAD to take it out so I ended up completely taking apart the fridge to get the bottom drawer out but at least I finally got to clean out that bottom drawer!
All in all I ended up mopping the floor 4 times with soap and a fifth time with water. It took me over a hour and six buckets of water. I got, hopefully, all the “gooo” out of, under from, off the top of, and from in between every area around the fridge.
So that was the way I spent my night, it was clean then messy then clean again.

P.S. I regret not taking a picture of the mess. Sorry.

Since July

Hi so i feel bad about not posting for almost six months so I'm am going to play a quick game of catch up and then move on and hopefully stay more on top of things.
  • In August we bought our house!! We love it, its great and we enjoy every frustrating minute of being home owners.
  • We got our kitty and named him Tuff and sorry we didn't put him on the Christmas card.
  • Josh's business is still going well and recently he has had the time to put together his "dream truck".
  • My job is the same not much has changed.
  • Thanksgiving was spent in Lovell with Josh's family and Christmas was spent here with my family.
  • I got a new sewing machine and having that has kept me more than busy.
  • Since Christmas I have been making purses, rice bags, curtains and, mending various pairs of jeans with my sowing machine. Being on the DR walk of life really makes you get the most out of the clothing you do have.
  • And other than that we have been just happy to be recovering from Christmas.

If I have pictures I will try to get them posted! Until then I have a few specific incidents that I will be posting about! I look forward to that and to hopefully be better at posting more consistently.
